Improving English documentation

Post here questions, problems and suggestions in English language
  • I'm not sure if it is desirable to maintain some parity between locales(?), but I have provided the opening text below for feedback:

    EN:
We thank everyone who helped to create and develop KolibriOS,
many of whom are listed below, with the most recent contributors first.

    RU: Translated by `Roman (ESPBoy)` - thanks! :
Мы выражаем благодарность тем, кто помогал в создании и развитии KolibriOS,
многие из этих людей перечислены ниже, при этом наиболее поздние участники упомянуты первыми.

    IT Translated by `Heracleum` - thanks! :
Ringraziamo tutti coloro che hanno contribuito a creare e sviluppare KolibriOS,
molti di questi elencati di seguito, in ordine di contributo più recente.

ES Thanks to `Sweetbread` and `Adolfo Jayme Barrientos (fitojb)` :
Agradecemos a todos los que ayudaron a crear y desarrollar KolibriOS.
Enumeramos muchos de los contribuyentes en la siguiente lista, de más recientes a más antiguos

  • I have been asked to include the authors list from `kernel.asm`.
    Questions:
    1. Is it necessary to sort the contributors chronologically? It seems more reasonable to just do it alphabetically...
    2. It creates more work maintaining this list in two places. Can the kernel comments be removed and replaced with `See CREDITS.txt for a full list of contributors` ...?
    3. I believe `KolibriOS` as a proper noun (name) should not be translated- do you agree?

    1. Proper name can be translated
    2. Why should not?

    will be better

"многие из них" instead of "многие из этих людей" will be better, I guess

    - In most languages that is unusual. A Russian native colleague has confirmed to me that "Usually software names in Russia always remain original. Windows, MS Office and so on".

    For example?
ace_dent wrote: Wed Sep 27, 2023 2:51 pm A Russian native colleague has confirmed to me that "Usually ... always remain original
    So, usually or always?
ace_dent wrote: Wed Sep 27, 2023 2:51 pm . Windows, MS Office and so on".
    Винда, Офис, Гугл, МакДональдс, Найк...

I think, you know something about Uniqlo and nothing about ユニクロ

Sadly, I know (nearly) nothing about the Russian language or Cyrillic alphabet.
I'm happy to take your guidance and restore the original `КолибриОС`. Thanks for your help.

The original text was signed off as `KolibriOS team`... do you feel it should be changed everywhere...?

It's not about language, it's just alternative names. Fell free to use any of them. Of course, in English text better to use English name

Same: in English text better to use English name
