Just found out about this project

I was posing a question on fidonet:cbm and, kind of, lamenting about the death of the 'instant-on' computer of the 80s. My daily use laptop is a Tandy TRS-80 Model 200 and it is lovely to press power and within one second it's ready to dance. I was thinking how sweet it would be if a modern version of the C64 were made but with modern hardware and video capabilities. One guy pointed me to your OS since it's in assembly (like the C64). One day he said it's impossible to have it again, then he pointed me to your project and proved himself wrong.

I downloaded the iso and spun it up on a live disc. Here are my notes:
*Impressive to see it booting so quickly.
*It didn't detect my NIC but that's okay. It works fine on a vm.
*Impressive to see you have a command line similar to linux.
So anyway, I'm currently knee deep on a project creating a cherry ass door game for the bbs world and it is absorbing my time. Since the game is in pascal, my skills won't be useful for your project. Once V1 of my game is out and we jump into v2 design, i'll have time to learn FASM. That will later pave the way for me to learn 6502. I can totally see myself using your OS to some degree even if it's nothing more than a SSH connection to my jump server.

Anyway, I'd like to contribute and, meanwhile, I will spread the word about this dope project. Do you have a kanban I can peruse?

Hello and welcome,

Almost any high-level language can be used to write programs for KolibriOS, some information here: http://diamond.kolibrios.org/hll/hll_eng.htm
It can be a step-stone to learn the KolibriOS API before learning a new language :)
(Official API is here http://websvn.kolibrios.org/filedetails ... sfuncs.txt)

There is no kanban ,discussions happen mostly here on the forum.
Maybe this thread is what you are looking for: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=677

What NIC do you have? There is no WiFi support.
