Hello guys. Total Kolibri-newbie here.
Super fast loading of this OS from a memory stick, and simply an impressive piece of work! The problem is, I can't connect to the network from my old laptop, which is a Dell Inspiron 6400 (it was quite a popular model back then). The networking tool shows missing drivers, and that's not much of a surprise I guess, but it feels very limiting. I have no idea what amount of work is involved in writing such drivers, but anyway, these are the options I have on this machine:
- A wireless card from Intel. The windows driver says "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection, (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN" and the network program in Kolibri says Vendor is 8086, Device is 4222
- An ethernet adapter from Broadcom, driver name "Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller", Vendor is 14E4, Device 170C.
If I could go online while playing around with this, that would be great, but in any case, thumbs up for your project.
