11. What criteria did you use to select your mentors for this year's program
Availability is the main criteria. We'd like to choose mentors based on their knowledge but Kolibri is small community and many experienced developers are busy with more important tasks.
12. What is your plan for dealing with disappearing students?
It is rare that we chase people. If they come then they are expected to pick a task, complete it and ask for integration into trunk later. (переведено на основании недавнего высказывания Mario)

There is not much we can do here. They have their own daily job, life and free will. These are their primary priorities.
14. What steps will you take to encourage students to interact with your project's community before, during and after the program?
Well the code is open source so the students are encouraged to read the code (documentation is scarce). After which they must complete the picked task on their own .

У меня создалось впечатление, что человек который сформулировал эти вопросы мыслит существование проекта как какую то секту (сайентологов к примеру).

По поводу 14 пункта - я не согласен. У нас в целом дружелюбное сообщество, а Колибри вызывает привыкание.

Темы проектов придумайте, студентов найдите, а заявку написать успеете еще. И неплохо бы релиз сделать до начала gsoc.

Тема 1: Создание библиотеки виджетов (то есть дописывание box_lib)
Тема 2: Панель задач (тут часто всплывает)
Тема 3: Загрузка с USB
Тема 4: Шрифты
Как вам такие темы?

Ага, и прибавить к этому WiFi. Безумно? Мне кажется, когда в Inkscape еще не впилили рендеринг через Cairo и меши, все тоже думали, что это безумно.
