Hey all,

I recently wound up in posession of two old 90's computers. They're both Pentium II machines, but off the top of my head I don't know how much RAM is installed in both. (I could probably max out the RAM and probably will, so I'm not worried.) Despite this, I'm of the mind to not let perfectly usable hardware go to waste, and so I was looking for a way in which these machines could be put to good use.

That's what led me here: looking up lightweight OSes I found about Kolibri and I am REALLY impressed with what's been accomplished so far. Yet I'm not all sure what Kolibri can do right now, or what may be possible with further development. Which is where my questions come in:

How viable would it be for a machine of those specs, running Kolibri to act as a NAS? What would I need to do in order to make it work? If it's not viable now, would it ever be feasible?

Windows has an advantage as Gaming Machine, and in general there is more soft for it.
Kolibri is faster, more reliable, has excellent USB support. In future KolibriOS probably become even more great.

This point I don't really know. There is FTP server app but I didn't try it.
