Web browser support and SSL

I wasn't sure which was the web browser so I tried both WebView and NetSurf.

But I found that there is a no support for SSL... https:// addresses do not work.

Even when using http:// urls it seems that there is a lack of JS and CSS support because themes cannot be displayed, just some text.

Am I missing something? Can we expect to see web pages rendered properly in the near future?

To be of any use, the web browser needs to be able to display a typical WordPress page using SSL.

WilliamK,

https is surely an important feature. That said, nobody is actively working on it at the moment. You are very welcome to apply your skills :)

Modern browsers must support current TLS versions to securely load websites.

If all this talk of passwords and technical troubleshooting has left you feeling a bit drained, you should take a quick break with skribbl io. It’s a fast, creative drawing and guessing game that’s perfect for a mental reset.

You’re not missing anything—this is the current limitation. WebView and NetSurf lack proper SSL, JavaScript, and modern CSS support, so HTTPS sites and themed pages won’t render correctly. Full modern web support is unlikely anytime soon due to the heavy requirements of TLS and modern browser engines.

Could this TLS library for KolibriOS be somewhat helpful? I am using it for random number generation
