I wasn't sure which was the web browser so I tried both WebView and NetSurf.

But I found that there is a no support for SSL... https:// addresses do not work.

Even when using http:// urls it seems that there is a lack of JS and CSS support because themes cannot be displayed, just some text.

Am I missing something? Can we expect to see web pages rendered properly in the near future?

To be of any use, the web browser needs to be able to display a typical WordPress page using SSL.

https is surely an important feature. That said, nobody is actively working on it at the moment. You are very welcome to apply your skills
