Comparison between KolibriOS and MenuetOS

Hi all,

Completely new to both of these OS's, so I have some questions about both. I hope this is the right place to put this. Primarially I am wondering what the current and planned differences between the two are, and which I should start with. KolibriOS looks like it has a much stronger comunity, and though it is Russian I would prefer it just for that. Are the OS's still binary or code compatible, and will they remain so? Do the two projects still take the improvements of each other and merge them together, or was the fork a complete split?

Either way I go, I am really excited to have found assembly OS's still under active development :D

MenuetOS 32 bit is (almost) no longer under development.
There is a newer version, Menuetos 64 bit, but it is closed source.

KolibriOS comes only in 32 bit version so far, and is no longer binary compatible with Menuetos 32 bit because the API has been enhanced and obsolete functions have been removed.

2005 and beyond - we do not look at Menuet. Some applications are compatible.
Applications MenuetOS (M32) with some probability will run on KolibriOS.
Most KolibriOS applications will not run on M32.

Tried kolibri on my P2 with a floppy and I was floored. The amount fit on a floppy and the speed at which it runs! Its been a long time since I have been so excited about 1.44 M :D

So MenuetOS had done show windows contend while dragging windows.
Cool feature, but other points are sad as always. HD and USB drivers are still not visible.

How drivers can't be visible? Where you trying to watch them?
