I have two questions about the System Settings panel.
When I save the ramdisk I see that the font height is persisted at restart, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I've found an old post (viewtopic.php?p=79354) saying that applications don't use this setting. Do you confirm that this setting does nothing?
Moreover, from this panel it seems that it is possible to change the language dynamically. Is that true? This settings doesn't seem to be persisted when I save the ramdisk. In general, I was wondering if the language is something that is loaded at runtime or at compile time, or if I'm just missing additional files. I see that you are providing different builds for Russian and Spanish and I'm a bit confused about how the i18n is supposed to work.

The font height and language that are configured dynamically are just hints to applications that want to use these values to adapt their UI. I don't think (m)any programs actually use these settings at the moment.
So yes, in theory, an app can show messages in different languages based on the settings you mentioned. But most if not all apps currently just compile in some specific language at build time. That is why we have different builds for different languages.
