Hello friends.
I am aware that any changes made in the user environment require the use of "rdsave" and writing changes to the ramdisk image before rebooting the machine. Everything so far I have ever changed (even small things like the wallpaper) remain exactly where I left them after saving the ramdisk image and booting my machine at a later time. No problems.
The only thing I have found so far that doesn't remain is if I choose a different skin. Once selected, the skin layout remains in place during that session, but after saving the ramdisk image and shutting down my machine, I come back the next day and the skin choice is reset to default.
To combat that for now, I have instead located the actual file for the skin I want to use, renamed it default, and copied over the original "default". Has this issue been result of a small bug or am I missing a step after going into preferences and choosing a skin?
Skins: Bug or user error?
