old branches on the SVN

Is it usefull to keep the old branches wich are not being developed any longer on the SVN?
Take for example 'hd_kolibri', it's kolibri #454 with some changes in paths. (/rd/1/ replaced with /hd0/...)
On current kolibri distributions you could do this simpeler (and better) by properly using the /sys/ path.
I think it's better to remove this branch.
