  • Sorry to reply so late, somehow missed your post.

    1. The network stack keeps only a list of the MAC addresses of the computers that it needs to communicate with.
    It's useless to keep a list of all MAC addresses if we will only communicate with one computer on the network.
    (The purpose of these ARP messages on the wire is to detect conflicts, and to update entries that the computer does want to keep.)

    2. The stopping of network drivers is not implemented yet.
