Is it this hardware: http://www.bleepplc.com/epos-solutions/TS-750.php

It seems to have a intel processor so it should be possible to get kolibri os to run on that. If the cf card is seen as a harddrive or you can boot from a usbstick. Is there a bios option for booting from usb? There are installers for windows which install the kolibri os next to windows installation. You can make a backup off the cf card and than try to install kolibri os on it. Kolibri os is free no charge. Whether you can great a market around it with app selling. I do not know.

That is the hardware.
I think that it has usb boot option.
My cf card is corupted, that is whie i need another os for that sistem, i don`t want to pay 600+ euro only for the cf with the os from the company.
It is for personal use in one store not for selling it or other apps for this os

Good day to you!

Please, mind the following:

1) Even if you have a spare CF-card for installing OS "Kolibri" on it -- the OS-usage may result in causing defects to the POS-computer's hardware! (I am not sure, and I have problems with recalling similar troubles in memory, -- but it is possible. Probably, the OS wasn't tested on your hardware yet, and you will be the first tester, -- so, please, be careful!)

2) The OS may react unpredictably on yours input-hardware manipulations on POS-computer!
As I understand from taking a quick-look around information about the hardware (http://www.bleepplc.com/epos-solutions/TS-750.php), -- it supports USB-devices, so you can try to connect USB- mouse + keyboard (which may be riskful itself; you the user and tester, again) and, probably, it will work.

3) There still may be no support for touch-screen input, fingerprinting, magnetic-card reader, and so on.
Will you manage working without it?
___

Anyway, OS "Kolibri" has text- and spreadsheet- editors, and a calculator (seen some icons here: http://kolibrios.org/en/screen), -- which can suit some POS-tasks solving. The spreadsheet editor (named "Table": http://wiki.kolibrios.org/wiki/Table/) would be enough for manually registering text-info about sales (e.g. date and time; titles, amounts, and prices); and it supports "CSV"-file format, which seems convertible to "XLS".
___

You choose.

If you choose to try "Kolibri" -- here's the distributive: http://kolibrios.org/en/download (you should, probably, select the "Universal image Flash/HDD").
___

Good luck!

That is why I think he should better try linux. There are open source pos solutions:

https://www.linux.com/forums/applicatio ... ware-linux
And keep in mind that only the "normal" computer functions may run. Card reader might be a problem. Touch screen should work if detected by linux. I would try a live distro first. You can make linux live usbsticks from many distributions. Try Puppy, bodhi linux old version or if it is enough to have a calculator and notepad try kolibir os, but no touch drives there, I guess!

Is Linux easy to get the hang of for this sort of thing?
