- Does KolibriOS run in more modern computers too (i7 and suchlike), or is it designed for old/lightweight PCs only?
- Is wi-fi supported?
- Does it has a functional web browser (not a text-based one or anything like that)? If yes, is this browser capable of running videos (youtube videos, etc)?
- Is it capable of reading PDFs and doing basic text editing?
A few questions regarding KolibriOS
-
I was wondering if a simple and slim OS could improve battery life on notebooks. My plan was to use the simple OS for very basic activities, running it from an USB flash drive, and then when I needed some specific program or a more advanced task, I'd switch to Windows again. My questions are:
- Yes modern computers like i7 work fine.
- No wifi support yet. Nobody is working on it AFAIK.
- No full featured browser yet, this is under development.
- There is a basic pdf viewer (muPDF) and text editor like notepad
