Is anyone working on a UEFI loader for Menuet/Kolibri? Any plans?
I found 24 posts on the forum for the word UEFI, but all in Russian ... which I do not understand.
UEFI plans?

These messages will not help you. As far as I know the solution for UEFI is currently unavailable.seppe wrote:I found 24 posts on the forum for the word UEFI, but all in Russian ... which I do not understand.
Всем чмоки в этом проекте! Засуньте эти 11 лет себе в жопу!
I share this information to those of you who would like to develop a UEFI Kolibri loader in assembly . . .
From the net you should download:
- a free ebook about EFI programming: http://www.microbe.cz/docs/Beyond_BIOS_ ... 10)%20.pdf
- a pdf file with the UEFI specs (2298 pages) : "Unified Extensible Firmware Interface Specification".http://www.uefi.org/specifications
or in my Kolibri folder ftp://kolibrios.org/users/seppe/UEFI
- a UEFI shell (there are several versions around)
- a "hello world" example to get started
- a 64-bit FASM compiler
- the UEFI x64 console debugger http://fdbg.x86asm.net/
Put the executables on any FAT32 formatted usb flash pendrive (no need to delete other data).
Copy/rename the shell to /EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.efi.
Boot from the flash drive and enjoy the UEFI world ...
Check out the "refind" bootloader.
Happy learning and coding . . .
