Kolibri and dosbox
-
So i installed the floppy image of kolibri on an old gateway computer. it has no harddrive and no battery. I run it off the power cord only. I put dosbox on another floppy and called it from the shell in kolibri. everything was good. the main reason i did this was to try to pull linux off a cd because, even though the bios says it will boot from cd and i select this option, the computer still will not boot from cd, it only goes to floppy. So I mounted the cdrom in dosbox and booted the boot.img file on the cd for DSL linux. but the problem is it runs the boot.img and gets to the options. i choose load in ram. it then starts to boot and just stops, like all the drives go quiet and the screen just sits there. any ideas on what i can do to make this work?
I think you are doing it wrong. Boot "Plop boot manager" or GRUB floppy, and then boot your Linux CD-ROM from there.
