I've got problem with booting Kolibri OS on SD memory card.

Post here questions, problems and suggestions in English language
  • Hi. You can instal GRUB on your hard disk, and if memory stick is visible from GRUB, then you can boot Kolibri :)
Or you can install PLOP boot manager onto floppy, CD or anything else, and boot using PLOP.
Also, you can boot without any stick.

Btw, how do you install Kolibri using UNetbootin? o_O

It's simple. Download UNetbootin for W$ and run it. Next, I chose ISO file (svn-2324-img.7z) from my drive. Of course, before that I choose destination drive and click OK. That's all.
    Well I do?
  • 1) Using unetbootin that way isn't right. Kolibri isn't Linux. Read "USB-stick install" from 0.7.7.0 distributive: http://kolibrios.org/f/releases/kolibri ... _iso_en.7z
    2) Img it's floppy image, not cd-rom.
    3) You can copy any Kolibri's floppy image and mtldr (or something like this from official distibutive) to your C: drive, then fix few lines in your C:\boot.ini
This saves AND your Windows, AND installs Kolibri. You can delete Kolibri after this if you want. Read "HD install" or ask here for further information :)
  • @SoUrcerer

  • Hi,
I used yours idea. It works very well.
Unfortunately my old laptop can not start from SD memory card :(
    Thank You for your help.
    Regards.
  • Cool!
Do you know about SVN, btw? Also we have few ports that wasn't posted on SVN yet. Interested?
  • I'm newbie. I do not know that but I am interested :D
  • http://websvn.kolibrios.org/ - sources of programs
    http://wiki.kolibrios.org/ - some info
We have ports of Doom, Quake, DosBox, TinyPy, Lua, Newlib, Mesa, Cairo, ZSNES, GnGB, ghostscript PDF and may be something I forgot :) You can find them in "Programs" forum, or, if you have troubles with Google Translate, I can find direct download links. Good luck :)
  • Thank You for info.
