Re: Does KolibriOs support ATAPI-4?
@ yogev_ezra thanx... the UDMA info could be very useful. In regard to purchases... I have never purchased anything in life w/ out research. However... KolibriOS is a (hardware) legacy OS. The world has moved on to ARM... 64bit... heterogeneous multicore... and other 21st century technologies. x86 (...

Re: SCSI (aka "SPI")
It was posted once and reposted in a different context again. I will revise the last post so the answer will be in context under the correct topic. This topic addresses (now) addresses ATAPI-4. The developers know the system requirements and the forum admin/moderator should know them as well. If you...

ATAPI-4 support?
I've made costly mistakes purchasing equipment only to find KolibriOS does not support it because of "legacy" issues. So it is best to procede whenever support is confirmed.

Re: SCSI (aka "SPI")
Native support would be great. For now I intend to achieve routing with emulation. If you are interested in launching KolibriOS/ATAPI-4 I will buy the controller today so I can beta test.

Re: SCSI (aka "SPI")
@ hidnplayr... a KolibrOS SCSI "workaround" project for this might be implemented using ATAPI-4. If this project existed I would be buying a ATAPI-4 controller today for beta testing. I already purchased the parts for my KolibriOS router project (eBox was not game changing hardware so toda...

Alas... you are absolutely correct. Maybe... if there is a small group, it could be the beginning of something truly game changing.

Re: NXP 4330 Xplorer dev board
Indeed... Mordor is a very scary place. However... it's dark influence is now ubiquitous. Mobile is everywhere (even in the rainforest and the desert). Because of ARM the future of computing looks darker than the command line. I doubt if Android can save the world from bloated O$ on the ARM platform...

@ Mario_r4... I totally understand the obstacles you identified. But theoretically... (as a proof of concept) would using FASMARM eliminate one of the obstacles?

eBox 3350MX
It appears the best way to run your OS is the eBox 3350MX. I live in the New York City area. Is there a reputable place to order it online? Is it really $100 USD?

NXP 4330 Xplorer dev board
I want to buy the NXP 4330 Xplorer dev board to add to my project (using the nVIDIA Jetson tk-1 dev board). I want to use it with Qemu? to run OpenWrt (Luci). Is a Kolibrios for ARM embedded (M series RISC) possible?
