I have only AR8171(QCA8171) and AR8131 for which no datasheets are to be found, maybe you are more lucky!

Atheros/Qualcomm does not publish datasheets for these chips unfortunately. Only way is to study the code of existing open source drivers. Nope, sorry, it's more or less port of the linux alx driver, only AR8161/8162/8171/8172

EDIT: I will add AR8131 support too, I found a device which has this chip

Have you tried plugging in the mouse after kolibri has booted?
Sometimes there is an issue with the USB hand-over from the firmware (UEFI/BIOS)

for the record, ctrl+c, v, x work. scancodes for these buttons are identical...

For me it now works with CTRL+Q instead of CTRL+A ...
